This Privacy Policy explains how Orion GLE Ltd processes personal data in connection with BidPilot. BidPilot may be provided in pre-release, beta, or production form.
Orion GLE Ltd is the data controller for personal data it receives and processes in connection with BidPilot. When a BidPilot user enters information about their own customers, employees, subcontractors, or contacts, that user or organisation will normally be the controller of that information.
BidPilot stores its working database and settings locally on the user’s device. When the user is signed into iCloud and iCloud is available, records can be mirrored through Apple CloudKit to the user’s private iCloud database. Orion GLE Ltd does not receive access to the contents of that private CloudKit database merely because sync is enabled.
BidPilot allows users to create and share quotation PDFs, internal costing exports, and backups. When a user chooses to export, email, share, or save information, it is sent to the destination or service selected by that user and then processed under that provider’s own terms and privacy policy.
Where UK data-protection law applies, we rely on contract, legitimate interests, consent where needed, and legal obligation, depending on the processing involved.
We may share limited personal data with Apple, trusted service providers, professional advisers, regulators, or public authorities where necessary. We do not sell personal data or use it for third-party behavioural advertising.
Working BidPilot data remains on the device and, where iCloud sync is enabled, in the user’s private iCloud database until edited or deleted. Support communications and diagnostics are retained only as long as reasonably necessary. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures for data under our control, though no system is completely secure.
Subject to applicable law, individuals may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object, or request portability of their personal data. Requests can be sent to support@oriongle.co.uk.
You can contact us first so we can try to resolve concerns. Individuals may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. We may update this Policy to reflect changes to BidPilot, our processing, or applicable law.
